Library and Media Centre

Welcome to the International School of Lusaka's Library and Media Centre. We are committed to helping staff and students to effectively and efficiently find and access relevant information for both educational and personal use. We provide a wide range of print material including fiction and non-fiction works, periodicals and magazines. We also provide non print and online resources via our IT lab which is open to students and staff throughout the school day. Students also have access to printers for assignments and classwork.

Both the Primary and Secondary libraries serve as information hubs where students, staff and parents engage in academic and personal learning. The libraries support the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme curriculum (IBPYP), International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

The Primary library comprises approximately 9.200 titles making up the fiction section, the non-fiction section, the periodical section, the Early Years section and the Oxford Reading Tree section. The Secondary library comprises approximately 9.500 titles. The collection includes the professional library section, the non-fiction section, a variety of periodicals, reference materials and DVDs and carefully chosen works of fiction. The collection provides balanced information resources for students, staff and parents.

An overview of the services offered by the Primary and Secondary libraries include the following:
