Namaskar! Lots of interesting stories to be shared since my last write up
Last month has gone by very quickly with the visiting team from CIS/NEASC who were mostly Heads of Schools or pedagogical leaders in their sections of the school. The delegation had 9 members in all and I am very pleased to mention that the team had lots of encouraging remarks and observations which are promising. Thank you to the entire faculty, parents and students for making it a meaningful and worthwhile exercise! The report should be with us hopefully by August 2017.
The school continues to be this buzzing, highly active campus even though we are nearing the end of this academic year!
The PTA “Movie and Campout night proved to be a success with 59 campers at school and many more people coming to watch the movie. The atmosphere was fabulous, families were comfortable and food from Hot Wok and Malrock was delicious! Everyone agreed it was a fabulous idea- so going ahead- we may need to be prepared for more campers. I would recommend buying tents and sleeping bags to families over the holidays in readiness for the next campout night
The PTA also aims to host STREET STORE this year on 3rd June 2017 with the idea of giving back to the community we live in. This is the world’s first rent free, premises free, free pop up clothing store for the homeless. This pop-up is made of posters on the sidewalk and runs entirely on donations. The idea is to collect winter clothes and shoes we do not wear or use and provide a shopping experience (free) for the poor. The Street Store now happens across the world. More information can be gathered through this link https://www.thestreetstore.org/.
We are presently gearing up for Colour Run on May 20th which promises to be the fun event it always is. If you are reading this article do not forget to sign up soon. You would not want to miss the chance to participate.
A couple of weeks more with residential field trips yet to happen, reports to be published, Parent Teacher Conferences to be held, assemblies to say goodbye to leaving families and teachers and we could count ourselves close to the end of this academic year
If I do not get a chance to write again before August- I wish you all a restful and happy holiday!
Safe travel, rest well and Ciao until next time!
