The International School of Lusaka is looking for a qualified and experienced teacher for the following position in August, 2019:

Athletics Director and Activities Coordinator

 Responsibilities

  • To develop and lead the PE department throughout the school (Nursery to Year 13).
  • To develop a variety of sports through the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • To enthuse students with confidence and the spirit of good sportsmanship and competition.
  • To host and accompany teams for home and away matches and to represent ISL in a positive manner in all fixtures.
  • To organise, monitor and evaluate school sporting events
  • To act as a liaison with ISAZ and other relevant organisations

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject from recognized institution
  • A recognised teaching qualification (preferably degree or post-graduate)
  • Two or more years teaching experience at an appropriate level
  • Experience in an international school with International Baccalaureate, (IBPYP & IBDP) and/or IGCSE & IMYC highly desired.

Personal Assistant to the Head of School

The International School of Lusaka is looking for a Personal Assistant to provide secretarial services to the Head of School and carry out other related work to optimise the Head of School’s efficiency and effectiveness.

Main Duties

  • Providing professional secretarial and administrative services;
  • Preparing and managing correspondences, reports and documents;
  • Maintaining a permanent filing system (soft and hard copy);
  • Receiving visitors and organizing and scheduling meeting appointments;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills – ability to compose letters with fluency
  • Ability to work on own initiative, be decisive and to work as a member of a collaborative team
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to approach all confidential matters with discretion, sensitivity and diplomacy
  • Trustworthy, hardworking, intelligent
  • Faultless written English
  • Performing other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

The applicants must have a minimum of the following:

  • Full Grade 12 certificate;
  • Diploma in secretarial duties, obtained from a reputable institution; A bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Computer skills, with particular proficiency in google suite programs;
  • At least three years’ experience; and
